Accessibility

Travel for everyone.

Pointify Travel is built so anyone who wants to book a trip can — including people who use screen readers, keyboards, voice control, switch devices, or high-contrast and reduced-motion settings.

WCAG 2.2 AA targetLast reviewed: April 2026

Our conformance target

We aim to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AAacross every public page of pointifytravels.com and the iOS app. We measure ourselves against that standard when we ship new features and prioritize regressions that drop us below it. WCAG 2.2 AAA is an ongoing aspiration — a few patterns (especially live deal tickers) currently sit at AA only.

What’s in place today

Keyboard navigation

Every interactive surface is reachable and operable with a keyboard alone. Visible 2px focus ring on every button, link, and form field — visible on both light and dark themes.

Screen reader support

Semantic HTML, ARIA landmarks, and live regions for the search stream and modal dialogs. Tested against VoiceOver, NVDA, and TalkBack on every release.

Dark + light contrast

Both themes pass WCAG AA contrast on every text-vs-background pair. The brand orange is verified against both backgrounds for legibility.

Reduced-motion support

When your system prefers reduced motion, we tone down carousels, floating animations, and auto-scrolling tickers. No element flashes more than 3 times per second.

  • Semantic HTML — buttons are <button>, links are <a>, headings are ordered
  • Form labels associated with every input via for/id
  • Tables use thead/th with proper row/column headers
  • Tap targets meet the 44×44 minimum on mobile
  • Skip-to-content link on every page
  • No colour-alone state — every badge has a text label
  • Captions and transcripts on marketing video assets
  • Native iOS Dynamic Type support up to the largest preset
  • 200% browser zoom without horizontal scrolling
  • Persistent focus order; no focus traps in modals

Known gaps we’re closing

  • Some scraped third-party images (airline and hotel brand marks) lack rich alt text beyond the brand name. Progressive audit underway.
  • The interactive seat map during booking is visual-first; keyboard navigation works, but the screen-reader summary is still being polished.
  • JAWS testing has not yet been formalized. Our internal coverage is VoiceOver, NVDA, and TalkBack.
